Ben Greanya

Bassoon

Ben Greanya enjoys an active and varied free-lance career in the Washington DC area. He is principal bassoon of the Annapolis Symphony and a member of the Inscape Chamber Orchestra.  Ben is a frequent guest with the Washington National Opera House Orchestra, and served as second bassoon with the Baltimore Symphony in the 2013-14 season. He is assistant professor of bassoon at the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College. A Michigan native, Ben received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and Master’s at the New England Conservatory. His principal teachers are Robert Williams, Richard Beene, and Richard Svoboda.
